Elizabeth Bretton, MD

 

 

 

Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Dr. Bretton received her B.S. in Biology from Cornell University in 1976, her M.S. in neuroscience from the University of Texas-Houston in 1978, and her M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX in 1982. Following an internship in Internal Medicine and one year of postgraduate Neurology, she completed her residency in Family Medicine at Baylor in 1987 and is board certified in Family Medicine. After her marriage in 1987, Dr. Bretton and her husband moved to Albany, NY where she was the on-site physician for General Electric Silicones. In 1993, Dr. Bretton and her husband moved to Albuquerque where she practiced outpatient Family Medicine with Lovelace Medical Group in Women's Health until April of 2005, when she joined the staff at Rio Grande Family Medicine as a Family Care Physician and as Principal Investigator for Albuquerque Clinical Trials..

Dr. Bretton and her husband are active members in their parish church and play music at the Sunday evening Mass. They also enjoy hiking, cross-country skiing, and traveling. She is learning the classical guitar and enjoys working with her dogs (a Sheltie and a Collie) doing obedience and agility.
